At AAPI Data and Bolder Futures, we believe that young people have the power to enact transformative change. Young people are not afraid to dream audaciously and to envision bold futures for California. We need to take these dreams seriously in order to create a vision for the future that is just, humane, and inclusive.
This manifesto represents the dreams and visions of young people across the state. It covers topics that are important to youth today, ranging from education and mental health to housing and so much more. The authors of this manifesto are making change not only in the present but also laying down ambitious goals for the future.
The manifesto begins with our Visions for the future of California. Then, we dive deeper into Solutions for transformative change in key area topics, followed by the Strategies and Commitments needed to turn those visions and solutions into reality.
As you read this manifesto, we invite you to dream unapologetically with us. Too often, we are weighed down by the thought of what is not possible. But we find that the future can still be shaped by those who are willing to meet the moment and commit to bold action and change. We hope this will inspire within you a renewed sense of commitment and hope.
